TigerStop is actively engaged in the community on multiple levels and in multiple ways. This DNA translates to every TigerStop product. Every effort is made to source components, contract subassembly, and other manufacturing work, as well as hire employees, from the local area.
TigerStop has extensive in-house scholarship and education reimbursement programs and is proud to support a number of organizations and educational institutions throughout the region. A partial list of notable community contributions include:
- Autism Speaks
- Rose Haven
- WA Junior Achievement
- Portland State University engineering and business scholarships
- Portland Art Museum
- American Cancer Society
- Mercy Corp
- Make a Wish
- Dove Lewis Veterinary Hospital
- Habitat for Humanity Portland/Metro East
- AWI vocational woodworking training at area high schools
TigerStop has also been a sponsor of the Simon Benson Award Dinner. This annual Portland State University Foundation event supports PSU programs and scholarships. In particular, as innovators ourselves, we strongly believe in giving back to the community in a way that grows both innovation and local sustainability.
At TigerStop, we understand that to develop a good product, we have to develop a good relationship with the community. Not only in what we buy, but in what we do.
