TigerStop has two printers in service today; the Eltron printer and the Zebra printer, both available in either 2" or 4" wide labels. The Zebra Printer is currently in production, taking the place of the Eltron printer. While the width of the label paper cannot be adjusted, the length of the label is not set and can be adjusted by the customer. If a problem is experienced when attempting to print, review the following:
Check the level of the controller. controller must be set to level 4 capabilities. -view-
Is the Printer Initialized? The printer must be initialized each time the TigerStop is powered on. To initialize, press [PROGRAM] ,[+].
What color is the printer light? If it's red, the printer is experiencing a problem. Check the troubleshooting document that is sent with each printer for help. Only applies to the Zebra Printer.
Printer Type - Check the printer type to confirm correct configuration. For more information on how to confirm the printer type, click -here-
Print Cut - Is this parameter value set to 1? Manual cuts will not print if the value is set to the default of 0. For more information on how to confirm the Print Cut value, click -here-
Check the printer to see if the stock is properly loaded. There is a picture on the lid of the Zebra printer showing how the paper should be loaded. This information is also located in the above troubleshooting document.
Confirm the printer cable The TigerStop controller & printer cables are unique to TigerStop. Attaching other cables can result in expensive damage. is installed on the outside serial port of the controller. (The one located farthest from the controller cable.) -view-
Both types of the printer come with a gap sensor. If the Eltron printer's gap sensor is pulled all the way out it will not print. Slide it back in. -view-
Information is printing on two separate labels. PrintCut and PrintName are two parameters that can be used to print additional information on the label. However, the font cannot be adjusted and will often cause the information to continue on to the next label. Labels of longer length can be purchased to resolve this problem. Where to find labels?
