Im getting a "Home
Error Stage" message when I try and run a home routine.
Most commonly, an error during the home routine is typically caused
by the TigerStop thinking it cannot move either towards the motor end
or towards the idle end (also known as the far end) The first step in
determining the cause of a home error would be to check the minimum and
maximum settings in the motion menu. Press Stop until you reach the "ready
screen".
The
Motion Menu holds the speed and positioning parameters, such as In Velocity,
Minimum Limit, Lash
, etc. Follow
the steps below to gain access to the Motion Menu.
Ensure the
is displayed.
Press [PROGRAM]
, [SPACE CALIB] , [*].
"Enter
Password" is displayed on the screen. The
default password is the machine serial number. Enter
the correct password and press [=]
Use [+] and [-]
to scroll forward and backwards through the parameters until you reach
Min
Limit and MaxLimit
Ensure that the
MinLimit is not set to a value higher than the MaxLimit, if not enter
your password again followed by the equal key (Min and Max Limits are
both double password protected settings) and change the value to a short
distance, usually 10 inches is sufficiant.
Ensure that the
MaxLimit is not set to a value lower than the MinLimit , if not enter
your password again followed by the equal key (Min and Max Limits are
both double password protected settings) and change the value to a long
distance, usually 50 inches is sufficiant
Once you have
checked both of the above settings and made any changes , Press the Program
List button to exit the Motion Menu and return to the ready screen.
Power off the
TigerStop and wait approximately 5 seconds for the controller to fully
shut down
Power the TigerStop
back on and try and run through the home routine.
Once the home
routine is complete, Run a Min-Max
by access the motion menu again and scrolling through the setting with
the [+] and [-] keys until you find the Min-Max Setting.
Press the [1]
key and then the [=] key
The Screen will
display "Clear the Deck, Press Start", press Start, the TigerStop
will now automatically adjust its minimum and maximum settings by moving
the stop until it reaches the idle end and the motor end.
Calibrate your
machine.
If the above steps did not help resolve your issue,
please try the following if you have a controller that is version 3.5

the TigerStop off and wait 5 seconds.

on the TigerStop while holding down the Program List button. The screen
will display the following:

- Press
and hold the [+] key to jog the motor to one end of the TigerStop and
the [-] key to jog the stop in the other direction. Once
the stop has reached the end of the beam either ME or IE will display
on the bottom line before the P. If
you reach the end and neither ME or IE is displaying on the bottom line,
there may be a problem with your end sensor. Please
