Double Miter Saw

TigerStop can be used with virtually any double miter saw on the market. The feed tables can fit a wide variety of makes and models. Although most saws can be easily accommodated, some models may require you to make on site modifications.

The following is a list of what you need to set up a TigerStop for use with a double mitre saw.

ORDER LIST

Reference drawing to identify the components described.

  1. TigerStop, available in working lengths from 3 to 30 feet.

Specify the basic TigerStop in the appropriate length. TigerStop mounts directly to the top of the feed table. Brackets are not needed.

  1. Infeed/Outfeed Tables, available in roller-top or solid-top versions, depending on the weight of the materials being processed.

If you process large lumber sizes, use a roller-top. Small, light stock, such as cabinet frames or furniture parts, can be handled on a solid-top table. Select a length appropriate to the length of finished parts and/or raw materials you will be using.

  1. Extra Leg Set.

Feed tables are supplied with one leg set each. Order an extra leg set for each table if you cannot attach the tables to the double mitre saw. Leg sets should be firmly bolted to the floor.

  1. Back Fence.

The back fence in this setup is used to keep the material in line with the double mitre saw fence as it is pushed to the saw. It bolts directly to the top of the infeed table at the front through the holes provided.

  1. Pusher Miter.

This attaches to the flip-away stop to extend the reach of the stop toward the saw blades and also allows for the cutting of pieces with mitred ends. The standard pusher foot can be attached to this accessory to extend the reach even further.

  1. Pusher Foot.

The pusher foot extends the reach of the stop towards the saw blades even further to allow the cutting of shorter lengths.

  1. Double Miter Saw.

Order a double miter saw from a vendor of your choice. This item is not available from TigerStop LLC.

  1. Interlock Kit (not illustrated in the picture above).

This accessory ties the saw into the TigerStop, automating stop movement after each saw cut from clear length. It also acts as a safety interlock, preventing saw activation while the stop is moving, and stop movement while the saw is cutting.

  1. Control Stand.

Included with every "bundled" TigerStop, this is a specialized bracket that supports the controller at a comfortable height and angle. It is usually bolted to the top surface of TigerStop, but it can be fastened anywhere convenient.
